Design and Build
The N-Gengaming NG2601 sports an all-black, modern aesthetic common to gaming chairs, with a wing-back style and solid pattern. The construction centers on a reinforced steel frame, which the manufacturer states is rust-resistant, providing the foundational structure. The chair is upholstered in premium PU leather, chosen for its durability and ease of cleaning. The seat, backrest, armrests, and footrest are padded with high-density foam intended to offer lasting support and comfort.
The linkage armrests are a notable design element, as they are connected to the backrest mechanism. This means they pivot backward as the chair reclines, aiming to maintain arm support throughout the recline range. The built-in, retractable footrest is a standout feature, pulling out from under the seat to provide leg support. The chair sits on a strong nylon base equipped with five smooth-rolling casters for 360-degree swivel mobility on hard floors.
Performance and Features
Adjustability and Ergonomics
The NG2601 is built around adjustability. The backrest reclines from a standard 90-degree upright position to a 135-degree relaxed angle, with the ability to lock at any point within that range. Seat height is adjustable via an SGS-certified gas lift. The chair includes two removable cushions: one for lumbar support and one for neck support. These are attached with visible straps, a functional solution that some users note differs from more integrated, high-end designs. The ergonomic goal is to promote better posture by supporting the neck, shoulders, and spine.
Comfort and Support
Comfort is derived from the high-density foam and the adjustable elements. User feedback indicates the cushioning provides good support, even for taller individuals, though some find the seat and lumbar pillow to be on the firmer side. The linkage armrests aim to keep the user’s arms supported whether upright or reclined. The retractable footrest adds a dimension of relaxation, allowing users to extend their legs while working, gaming, or taking a break.
Durability and Materials
The manufacturer highlights long-lasting quality through the use of premium PU leather, which resists wear and is easy to wipe clean, and the supportive foam. The steel frame and nylon base are designed for stable, reliable support through daily use. Some user reviews mention the footrest tubing can feel less sturdy when bearing full weight, which is a consideration for those who plan to use it frequently.
Setup, Support and Ownership
Assembly is described in user reviews as relatively easy, taking between 10 to 30 minutes. The chair ships with a detailed installation manual, a complete screw kit, and a QR code for quick access to setup guidance. The included components are a base plate, casters, cushions, headrest (neck pillow), and the screw kit. The manufacturer, NEO CHAIR INC., provides a 1-year limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials under normal usage. This warranty period is a key point of ownership to consider. What Owners Say
With a high overall rating, the majority of reviews for the N-Gengaming NG2601 are positive. The rating distribution shows a significant majority of 5-star reviews. Owners frequently praise the chair’s comfort for long hours, its sturdy feel for the price, and the value it represents. The reclining function with locking positions and the retractable footrest are repeatedly highlighted as favorite features. Assembly is commonly noted as straightforward.
Critical feedback from the 4-star and lower reviews tends to focus on specific comfort preferences. Some users find the seat cushion or the included lumbar pillow too firm, with a few opting to add an additional cushion. The footrest, while appreciated, receives comments about its sturdiness when fully extended under weight. The visible straps holding the support cushions are noted as a cosmetic difference from more expensive chairs. Overall, the consensus is that it is a very good chair for its price point, particularly for users between average height and taller stature.

Who Should Buy It (and Who Should Skip It)
The N-Gengaming NG2601 is an excellent choice for gamers and home office users who want a feature-rich chair with strong ergonomic adjustability, particularly the reclining backrest and footrest, without spending a large amount. It suits users who prefer firmer cushioning and appreciate the convenience of linkage armrests. Taller individuals have reported good comfort and support from this model.
This chair may not be the best fit for those who prioritize plush, soft seating or require extensive, independent armrest adjustments. Users who are very heavy or need a documented high weight capacity should look for chairs with explicitly stated limits. Those who dislike the feel or maintenance of PU leather might prefer a mesh or fabric chair. Final Verdict
The N-Gengaming NG2601 delivers a compelling package for its category. It successfully incorporates high-demand features like a wide-range recline, a retractable footrest, and linkage armrests into a durable, steel-framed chair upholstered in PU leather. The high-density foam provides firm, supportive comfort that works well for extended sessions, a point reinforced by numerous positive user reviews. While the assembly and one-year warranty offer a standard ownership experience, the chair’s overall value is its strongest asset.
Potential buyers should weigh the chair’s firm cushioning and the footrest’s construction against their personal comfort needs and usage patterns. For those seeking an adjustable, ergonomic gaming chair with a relaxing footrest feature at a competitive price point, the N-Gengaming NG2601 stands out as a highly viable option. It effectively bridges the gap between basic office seating and premium gaming chairs, making it a smart consideration for a wide range of users.
